The State of California has special negotiated rates and
conditions with selected airlines covering certain specific routes known as City
Pairs. These City Pairs cover many of the most frequently traveled routes
between cities inside and outside of California (The State of California is
currently negotiating State fares for international destinations. Please check
our website periodically for information on these fares). These special rates and
terms, know as State Fares, are available to all Faculty, Staff, Students,
contractors, visitors, and guests traveling on University business.
In addition to the negotiated rates (which are often lower
than regular fares), State Fares also have the following advantages:
-
No advance booking requirements - book and fly the same day
at no additional cost.
-
No overnight or weekend stays required
- depart and return
the same day at no additional cost.
-
No penalties for reservation changes
- reschedule whenever
necessary without penalty.*
-
No cancellation penalties - get a full refund or credit for
the cost of unused tickets.*
* UCLA
Travel Center service fees apply; service
fees are non-refundable.
The only restrictions on State Fares are:
It is recommended that travelers have their U. C.
identification, and non-University travelers their letter of invitation on
University letterhead, available when traveling using State Fares.
