Module 2 - Logging into Express
Module Objectives
At the completion of this module, you should:
Connect to the Express website http://www.express.ucla.edu.
The Express home page will display. Enter your Log In ID and Password. Note: User names and passwords are case sensitive. Click on LOGIN.
Note: To access and use Express, you will first need to register as a user (refer to Module 1 for more information).

Select "Expense Reports" from the menu.
Note: The main menu that you see will vary depending upon your access level. For example, a department administrator will have access to additional functions and these function will display on the department administrator's main menu. The main menu shown below is for a regular user of Express.

The first time you use Express expense reports in Internet Explorer (the recommended browser for this system), a dialog box may appear asking if you wish to install and run the Extensity web client. Click on "Yes" to download the .cab files into your browser cache.
If you are using Netscape as your web browser, you may be asked if you want to install a .jar file. Click yes and then a "Smart Update" box (shown below) will appear to indicate that you are downloading a file.

Each time you access the Express Expense reports, you may see the following box indicating that you are also accessing the Extensity Suite.

The Extensity Universal In-Box/Application Main screen will appear. From this screen you can check the status of the Expense reports you have already submitted for review and approval. You can also access other screens used to create and edit new expense reports.

Universal In-Box Legend:
Create a new document. Filter Universal In-Box documents. Edit a document. Refresh the Universal In-Box. Obtain document information, status, and history. You can use this to see where your expense report is in the process. Basic user and proxy information Delete a document. Extensity software version numbers. Submit a document. Opens Extensity Online Help.
The document is available for editing. The document is no longer available for editing. The Express reviewer has requested information from the creator. This document has manual overrides from the Express reviewer.
Exiting from Express
When you have finished working in Express, you should exit from the system and close your browser. To exit from Express:

Forgotten Login ID or Password
If you forget your login ID or password, you can retrieve the information from the system.
